Nahimutangan

Ang lungsod sa Carcar nahimutang 40 ka kilometro gikan sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo.

Nahimutang sa habagatan-sidlakang bahin sa lalawigan sa Sugbo, ang dakbayan nag-atubang sa Cebu Strait. Sa amihanan sa lungsod makaplagan ang lungsod sa San Fernando; sa sidlakan ang Cebu Strait; sa habagatan ang Sibonga; ug sa kasadpan ang mga lungsod sa Barili ug Aloguinsan.

Ang Carcar gitangtangan sa estado sa pagkadakbayan, uban sa 15 pa ka mga bag-ohayng dakbayan, human gipaboran sa Korte Suprema sa Pilipinas ang petisyon Gi-arkibo 2009-03-19 at the Wayback Machine nga gihikay sa League of Cities of the Philippines, diin mideklara sa cityhood law (RA 9436) isip dilikonstitusyonal. The New Carcar City Public Market, located in Carcar City, Cebu, is a vibrant hub of commerce and culture. The market spans over 9,400 square meters and was designed to blend functionality with cultural heritage.[3] Its architecture incorporates traditional motifs alongside modern facilities, providing a comfortable shopping experience. The market operates daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM, accommodating the needs of early shoppers and evening visitors alike.Visitors can explore a wide array of stalls offering tropical fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, and handcrafted goods. The market is also known for its street food vendors, where one can sample local favorites such as lechon (roast pig) and chicharrón.[4] The lively atmosphere, combined with the friendly demeanor of the vendors, makes for an engaging shopping experience.[5]

Ang mga antigong mga balay mao karon ang sentro sa turismo, lakip na ang simbahan ni Sta. Catalina sa Alexandria nga gitukod niadtong 1624.
