Central Philippine University


Ang Central Philippine University (usahay ginatawag sa pangalan nga Central o CPU) usa ka pribadong unibersidad sa Dakbayan sa Iloilo nga makit-an sa Western Visayas, usa sa mga rehiyon sa Pilipinas. Kini gitukod niadtong 1905 sa mga misyonaryong Amerikano gikan sa Amerika. Natukod ang maong unibersidad pinaagi sa usa ka donasyon nga gihatag sa usa ka industrialista ug pilantropo nga Amerikano mao si John D. Rockefeller[5] nga duha ka eskwelahan: ang Jaro Industrial School para sa laki ug Bible School. Ang Central mao ang ikaduha nga Amerikanong universidad sa Asya. Gihatagan ug estado nga universidad sa 1953.
