The inflorescence there is about 3 inches across, so the whole thing is considerably bigger than our native golden saxifrages (C. oppositifolium and alternifolium.)
There are some other exquisite eastern Asian species in this group - in particular C.macrostemon atrandrum, which I saw in a book on Japanese wildflowers but never in life. Does anybody have it?
