Diploschistes diacapsis (Ach.) Lumbsch Image location: Planalto das Cezaredas, Portugal This time that there was evidence all over the habitat of the presence of Cladonia spp. the species of Diploschistes was not the one expected (D. muscorum). In fact, the asci observed contained mostly 8 spores, some were 6-spored and less 4-spored. The average values obtained for dimension of spores were: Me = 23.2 × 8.4 µm ; Qe = 2.8 (N=40). I bilieve that the features of these specimens match very well those of D. diacapsis given in the reference. Used references: CNALH. Based on microscopic features Based on chemical features
