- Escudo español, de medio punto, cuartelado en cruz con bordura en Sable.

- El escudo simboliza la justicia, la lealtad y la hermosura del pueblo Sanantoñero; la nobleza, la magnanimidad, la riqueza, el poder y la sabiduría que durante años han estado presentes en el sentir de los habitantes del Municipio Los Salias.

- Ordeado de flores cultivables en la zona, así como las ramas de cafeto florido, que se entrelazan en la fecha de 1683.

- El primer cuartel, en campo azul, con bordura en sable, un caballo pasante en plata, emblema de los inicios de las vías y caseríos formados por el paso de ganado vacuno y caballar desde los Llanos hacia Caracas.

- El segundo cuartel, en campo oro, con bordura en sable, flores de tulipán en gules y un manojo de hortalizas en sinople, que simbolizan la añoranza de años de siembras y agricultura que mantuvieron a hombres y mujeres de este fértil Municipio.

- El tercer cuartel, en campo oro, con bordura en sable, montañas en sinople con neblina en plata donde se encuentra ubicada la Hacienda “Los Salias” en la cual se fomentaron los ideales de libertad de los Hermanos Salias, Francisco, valiente héroe cívico, forjador de libertad y Vicente, poeta y creador de uno de nuestros símbolos patrios “El Gloria al Bravo Pueblo”.

- El cuarto cuartel, en campo azul, con bordura en sable, la Iglesia de San Antonio en oro sobre base sinople, emblema del Santo Patrono de devoción acentuada en el pueblo Sanantoñero y que simboliza la integración de la gente del Municipio y la separación con el pueblo de San Diego de Los Altos. Sobre el centro del Jefe, la flor de lis en plata, tomada del Escudo de los Marqueses de Mijares, reconociendo la donación de tierras a las cuarenta familias de las Islas Canarias que poblaron a San Antonio de Los Altos.

- El timbre que corona el escudo, una cesta con frutas criollas producidas en la región.

- A la diestra y siniestra del Escudo, flores variadas y ramas de cafeto entrecruzadas como símbolo de la generosidad y productividad del pueblo de San Antonio de Los Altos.

- En la punta una placa pequeña en oro, adornada con cinta contorneada en gules, con la leyenda en sable “1.683”, año en que fundaron a San Antonio de Los Altos, exactamente el 1 de mayo.

- Sobre los extremos cruzados de las ramas de cafeto una cinta con los colores nacionales y que contiene las leyendas en plata sobre la franja azul: “21 de marzo de 1783”, fecha en la cual fue elevado a Parroquia; “10 de noviembre de 1982”, fecha en la cual fue elevado a la categoría de Municipio; en el centro “Municipio Los Salias”.

- El todo simboliza la justicia, lealtad y hermosura del pueblo Sanantoñero y la nobleza, magnanimidad, riqueza, poder y sabiduría que durante años han estado presentes en el sentir de los habitantes del Municipio Los Salias.
