Pécsvárad címeréről Pécsvárad város képviselő-testülete a szervezeti és működési szabályzatáról szóló 2/2003.(V.1.) számú rendelete az alábbi leírást adja: „a mezővárosi címer, amely a gonoszt legyőző Sárkányölő Szent Györgyöt ábrázolja, amint az ágaskodó lován ülve, dárdájával ledöfi a földön vergődő sárkányt. Az alakok ezüstszínűek a szent köpenye bíbor, a föld zöld színű. Az ábrázolás címerkék címerpajzson helyezkedik el”.
