Tiny 10mm blossom dusted with early morning dewdrops. This species loves the high, sandy dunes of the Florida scrub. It has a couple of "former" taxonomic footnotes. Linaria was the former genus and Scrophulariaceae the former family. The genus is now considered a member of the Plantaginaceae. The Apalachicola toadflax shares it's local range with Nuttallanthus canadensis but has a nearly spurless flower and may cater to fly pollinators more than butterflies. If I can get back to these while still in bloom, I'll try to get a better photo (without obscuring dew).
